The inaugural Vienna Diplomatic Cup, organized by the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, merged sport and diplomacy at an event in the capital, May 13. A total of 32 international soccer teams participated in this unique tournament, including a spirited Tri-Missions Vienna squad consisting of diplomats, locally employed staff, U.S. Marines, and relatives of employees, who all traded business suits for soccer kits, and proved their mettle on the field with skill and sportsmanship.
