U.N. breakfast celebrates International Youth Day

U.S. Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield hosted a breakfast meeting to celebrate International Youth Day at the chief of mission’s residence in New York, Aug. 12. Guests included the U.N. Secretary-General’s Youth Envoy, the incoming and outgoing U.N. Youth Observers, the executive director of the U.N. Association of the USA, and the Ali Forney Center for LGBTQI+ homeless youth. Thomas-Greenfield’s opening remarks and the roundtable discussion covered intergenerational solidarity on social and racial justice, gender equality, and LGBTQI+ rights issues to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, build a world for all ages, and ensure that no one is left behind.
