Collin Walsh, a foreign affairs officer in the Bureau of Diplomatic Security’s (DS) Office of Rewards for Justice, earned a 2022 Employee of the Year award from “CAREERS and the disABLED” magazine for his resilience, professional accomplishments, and commitment to advocacy for persons with disabilities. Walsh’s work in leading an accessibility effort at DS’ headquarters building showed his commitment to promoting full, equal, and independent participation and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Walsh, who is also a Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs fellow, is interning this summer at Embassy Port Moresby, and is scheduled to be commissioned as a Foreign Service officer in 2023.
