Mission Fiji celebrates 60th anniversary of Peace Corps

Chargé d’Affaires Tony Greubel (center) was joined by Fijian Permanent Secretary Yogesh Karan (left) and Peace Corps Country Director Kury Cobham (right) to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Peace Corps, Feb. 23. The event served to officially recognize the more than 2,500 Americans who have served in the Peace Corps in Fiji since 1968. The passion and commitment of these volunteers has contributed notably to Fiji’s development and significantly deepened mutual trust and understanding between Fiji and the United States.
