Mission Vietnam participates in excavation of missing persons

Mission Vietnam’s Defense Attaché Colonel Thomas Stevenson (left) and Environment, Science, Technology, and Health Chief Officer Holly Thomas (center) participate in excavation activities during the 145th Joint Field Activity, Nov. 28, 2021. This activity is the result of the cooperation between the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) and the Vietnam Office for Seeking Missing Persons. During the excavation, a set of remains believed to belong to a U.S. serviceman was found and returned to the DPAA laboratory in Hawaii for further analysis.
