Singaporean alumni of the Department of State’s-sponsored Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) clean the beach at Singapore’s East Coast Park, December 2021. YSEALI alumni organized beach clean-ups and tree plantings across Singapore throughout the year to mark YSEALI’s 8th anniversary on Dec. 3. Additionally, their events contributed to the initiative’s annual YOUnified community service campaign, which celebrates the power of YSEALI members to positively transform their communities across Southeast Asia.
