Colleagues from the U.S. Mission to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva joined counterparts from the local diplomatic community to march behind the Diplomats for Equality banner at Geneva Pride 2021, Sept. 11, 2021. Their participation showed support for the freedom and dignity of the global LGBTQ+ community. Home to the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Human Rights Council, and many other international organizations, Geneva plays an important role in promoting human rights for all, worldwide. The parade drew more than 35,000 participants.
