Embassy San Salvador presents donated school supplies

Embassy San Salvador’s Chargé d’Affaires Jean Manes led a ceremony with U.S. Army Col. Brian Blackstone. They presented 1,150 school supply kits valued at $26,000 for elementary school children from Centros Escolares in Caluco, June 9. Part of a humanitarian aid project made possible through the United States Southern Command’s Humanitarian Assistance Program, the kits were presented to the Mayor of Caluco Nelson Cornejo Sibrián and the Principal of Cantón Plan de Amayo school Cecilia Elizabeth Santos, who represented the five beneficiaries.
