Seattle Passport Agency observes Holocaust Remembrance Day

Ben Lesser, a Holocaust survivor, founder of the Zachor Foundation, and author of “Living A Life that Matters: From Nazi Nightmare to American Dream,” spoke remotely to more than 30 staff members of the Seattle Passport Agency in observance of Holocaust Remembrance Day, April 13. Lesser, 92, was invited as a guest speaker to share his story of surviving several ghettos, concentration camps, and the notorious death train to Dachau during the Holocaust. In 1947, Lesser migrated to the United States with nothing but was able to build a successful career and life as a U.S. citizen. In retirement, Lesser has devoted his life to educating the next generations and combating intolerance, injustice, racism, and bullying.
