Embassy Chisinau inaugurates renovated healthcare clinic

Deputy Chief of Mission Martin McDowell inaugurated the renovated Healthcare Clinic in the village of Dubasarii Vechi, Moldova, May 21. The $160,000 project, funded by U.S. Armed Forces European Command and implemented through Embassy Chisinau’s Office of Defense Cooperation, provides a much-needed upgrade for healthcare workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It will improve the quality of care and services to more than 15,000 people in the surrounding area. The renovations include new flooring; a new roof; PVC doors and windows; thermal insulation; improved examination, therapy, and office spaces; and improved access for the individuals with disabilities via a new ramp and elevator.
