Ceremony celebrates new consulate in Mexico

Consul General Ken Roy hosted a topping-out ceremony to celebrate the structural completion of the new U.S. Consulate General in Hermosillo, Mexico. The event was attended by local government officials, project contractors, and Department of State colleagues, including those pictured above (from left to right): Fabian Iriarte, John Evangelisti, Alejandra Escobosa, Babatunde Ogunjulugbe, Adrian Mendoza, Chris Severs, Sergio Torres, Ken Roy, Yordanka Roy, Dani Avni, Sade Tuckett, Henry Cargo, Kemmi Sadler, Irene Valencia, Erika Peña, Andrea Baca, Divia Prieto, Juan Carlos Romero. Construction of the new embassy marks a $40 million investment in Mexico’s economy and underscores the important diplomatic relationship between the United States and Mexico.
