The U.S. Army’s 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment traveled across the United States and Europe in January to arrive at their mission in Lithuania where NATO Allies welcomed them. The regiment is now established at the Pabrade Training Area near the capital, Vilnius. The 2-8 Cav. Reg. Stallions will work with host nation forces and other NATO Allies and partners to begin planning joint, multinational training events in anticipation of lower coronavirus infection rates in the future and the accompanying ease in restrictions. Combined training exercises help keep NATO forces ready and work together to promote peace and stability in the region.
