Department supports dog training program in Kinshasa

Ambassador Mike Hammer visits Garamba National Park in Haut Uele to observe a USAID-supported dog training project to improve park management and protection of endangered species. With support from the Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, these extraordinary dogs are trained to help the courageous park rangers combat wildlife trafficking and protect the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s natural resources.
