INL donates PPE to Ecuador

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) donated 500 masks and 20 one-gallon alcohol gel dispensers to the Financial and Economic Analysis Unit of Ecuador (UAFE). With the COVID-19 pandemic hitting Ecuador particularly hard, INL Quito has leveraged personal protection equipment (PPE) donations to support the public security and criminal justice sectors. INL Ecuador’s Director Ory Abramowicz (left) delivered the PPE to UAFE’s Director Leopoldo Quiroz (right), Dec. 31. Quiroz thanked the U.S. government for supporting Ecuador in combating money laundering and other financial crimes. He also highlighted the strong ties that both governments are engendering against transnational organized crime.
