Embassy Freetown supports youth soccer

Ambassador Maria Brewer (left) joined Sierra Leonean and international soccer star Kei Kamara, who plays as a striker for Minnesota United Football Club, to encourage youth at a soccer clinic in Freetown sponsored by Kamara’s HeartShapedHands Foundation. The clinic, which featured coaching from stars of Sierra Leone’s men’s and women’s national teams, allowed participants to practice football skills and socialize safely outdoors. Engagement through sports continues to strengthen the ties between Sierra Leone and the United States.
