New embassy housing complex bolsters Kenyan economy

U.S. Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new housing complex in Nairobi, Nov. 18. The future compound, called Rosslyn Grove, will allow for shorter commutes and a safer living environment for the U.S. embassy community in Nairobi. Contributing to the local economy, the construction team will be locally based and all materials will be locally procured. The project is estimated to create 1,100 direct jobs and 500 indirect jobs. This project will bolster the bilateral friendship between the United States and Kenya and strengthen diplomacy in the region.
