Staff at Embassy Tallinn participated in World Cleanup Day, Sept. 18. Participation was about more than just being good neighbors—it was a way to be a part of a local tradition. The embassy team joined municipal staff from Lääne-Harju to clean up parts of the city of Paldiski. In doing so, they joined more than 30,000 others across Estonia (and more than 20 million people globally) for the “world’s largest one-day social action.” For the participants, it was not only a beautiful way to spend an Estonian fall day, it was also an important chance to highlight the U.S.-Estonian partnership and shared values.
