The Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) published the OBO Access Guide on the Whole Building Design Guide portal, Aug. 5. Developed by OBO’s Office of Design and Engineering in their Architecture Division, the guide is an interactive website that allows users to perform code analysis for barrier-free accessibility. Users can search by federal guidelines, or by individual elements. The guide contains and differentiates between minimum federal standards and the OBO supplemental requirements for U.S. diplomatic facilities. It also includes a gallery of accessible designs from past OBO projects. Available to the public, the guide can be found here.
