Ventilator donation strengthens partnership in Ecuador

Ambassador Michael J. Fitzpatrick and Ecuadorian President Moreno meet to observe a donation of ventilators arriving in Ecuador, July 8. Mission Ecuador, through USAID, donated a shipment of 50 new, state-of-the-art ventilators to Ecuador to assist in its fight against the coronavirus. The donation, which arrived at Quito’s Mariscal Sucre International Airport during the week of July 4th when the capital’s intensive care units were at capacity, delivers on President Donald J. Trump’s offer to President Lenin Moreno of these critically needed supplies and supports Ecuador’s urgent response to the pandemic.
