IVLP alum assists underprivileged in India

Employees of the NGO Jagriti Yagra, recently assembled ration aid for stranded migrant workers. Jagriti Yagra’s CEO Ashutosh Kumar, a 2013 International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) alum, collaborated with the local government in Uttar Pradesh, India to manufacture 10,000 masks per day for the underprivileged. Kumar has also helped stranded migrant laborers across seven districts in Uttar Pradesh by distributing more than 4,000 ration kits through his NGO. Kumar is an example of how leaders can save lives and livelihoods during the COVID-19 crisis. He attributes some of his skills to his experience in the IVLP program.
