Blood drive highlights U.S.-Lebanon partnership

The U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy C. Shea participated in a blood drive at Embassy Beirut, March 13. The embassy collected 25 units of blood to aid the local Red Cross, which is spearheading the COVID-19 response in Lebanon. Shea, who just arrived in Beirut in March, is committed to showcasing the embassy’s hospitality and collegiality. In remarks to the Lebanese during her visit to the blood drive, she affirmed that the U.S. stands with the Lebanese people and has been proud to be a committed partner to Lebanon since the 1800s.
