YLAI training prepares entrepreneurs

Embassy Mexico City’s Public Affairs Section organized a train-the-trainer event in Mexico City for 41 selected Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) alumni from 18 different countries. The four-day program, funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, prepared YLAI alumni to champion entrepreneurship in their countries by organizing activities that equip new entrepreneurs with the tools and confidence to start and expand their own businesses. Each alum will receive a small grant to implement a project that promotes entrepreneurship and share what they have learned through YLAI. Within a week of the program, several participants reported on social media that they were already carrying out activities using the methodologies they had learned and are paying it forward in their communities.
